Shop TV operated daily from 8 am to 12 midnight on Solar's digital free TV (under test broadcast), while it operates 24 hours daily on most pay TV providers. However, from Holy Week 2024, it continued to sign off from Maundy Thursday at midnight to Easter Sunday at 8:00 am along with its sister channels Solar Sports, SolarFlix and Solar Learning.
About
The idea for a 24/7 shopping channel in the Philippines was not as ubiquitous as it is today. It all began when a family of entrepreneurs decided to take a risk in October 2003 and introduced the concept of home shopping networks to the Philippine market.
Initially, ShopTV of Home Shopping Network aired for 12 hours daily starting in November 2005. It later expanded its coverage to 24/7 airing by August 2006.
